It's sad that Himeno will be graduated, I hope they become a strong team by then. Hopefully, there will be a 2nd Season.

But the real question here is whether the club has been "formed," "revived," or "restarted."

Club was both revived & restarted since it existed before.

CGDCT series tend to have better open communication than romance series.

Asian Romance ACGN series tend to perpetuate stale prudish cliches.

Also, these girls can just find athletic boys to date @ least.

The "watch what i want" is the best way to enjoy anime imho, i wasn't planning watch this one, and it ended being one of the most enjoyable animes from the season for me, very well focused in the sport part.

I always watch new CGDCT anime, but I admit I didn't expect much out of this one. Turned out to be my favorite of the season. I WANT ANOTHER SEASON!! MOU IPPON!!!!

Last 5 years has been quite the treat for anime fans into sports, whether it's Blue Lock and Ao Ashi from last year, whether it's Megalo Box, the final season of Haikyuu, Harukana Recieve, Baki, Hanebado, Birdie Wing, Hinomaruzumou, and now Mou Ippon.

From the first episode I KNEW this was gonna be a sleeper hit. One of the aspects I love about this are two things: 1, Michi and the girls ALL look like what I'd expect a real-life female judoka to look like, which makes them relatable. And 2, despite what's clearly a limited budget, they made the most out of it, especially during the judo sequences, you gotta give credit where credit's due.

The OP and ED are one of the highlights of this for me, as is the character interactions between the main 5 girls. Overall, I hope this gets a Season 2, and I had an absolute blast! Now I need a new anime for nosebleeds. If you're either a weeb who happens to be a sports fanatic, or if you're like me and into CGDCT anime, I highly recommend you give this a watch. Now when do we get a S2 of Harukana Recieve?

What a nice show this was, it was one I picked last second for Winter 2023 and it was my last one to end, a truly unique SoL and sports anime.

Hoping for a season 2, but this is very underrated, feels like it got buried by some other anime that isn't even as good as this.

Your daily reminder that Fruit of Evolution got a Season 2. Ugh.....

A refreshing change of pace, and I know slightly more about judo having watched this series!

The clash between the odds of this getting a second season versus how much I want this getting a second season is honestly depressing

24 minutes of pure bliss. these last few episodes raised it from a 7/10 to an 8. animation direction was gonna be fire regardless but the comedy has never been so snappy and fun before in previous episodes.. felt like they really made the most of it now! wasn't expecting to laugh so much. i adore the cast, they all have such charming chemistry!! it's hard to hate on any of the other teams.

not to mention the character designs. i noticed people during the announcement putting it off because of it, but i hope im not the only one that gave this a watch (partly) because of the designs. it's very different from most sports where every person is either jacked, slim, or straight up a 15 year old in the body of a grown ass man.

i'd really like to see a sequel that's even better than the first season. i desperately wanna see Nagumo enter a tourney. a very charming show!

Yeah they had pretty realistic bodies for high school girls who are athletic but don't need to run or cut weight. (I assume weight-cutting isn't a big part of youth judo like it is in wrestling.)

Towa is such an incredible judoka and her match against Emma was so visually pleasing, you can tell they put a lot of love in to this climax

I was so excited and a little nervous to see a judo anime but this completely blew my expectations out of the water, I couldn't be happier to relive my old hobby through this show. Hoping for S2 for sure, I want to see Wonder Child Anna Nagumo take her place on the mat!

As a big CGDCT fanatic I'm glad so mamy geuninely liked this anime,
Only thing that bugged me was that main characters didn't really win their judo fights. I get that it wants to be realistic, the girls' backstories especially were unique & believable at the same time, yet I didn't have the chance to further my love for them.

This was Himeno's last tournament and she won like one fight, Sanae couldn't even do that xp. Its perfectly justified why Nagumo wasn't participating, that's why she should have had at the very least, an episode on becoming used to the club (the outdoors festival that flashed by after she joined should have really been its own ep) before skipping to the next character on the list to get a backstory.

Loved eveything else about it, season 2 I pray for you 🙏

Glasses n' Braids Girl is pretty useless... she better have a Metamorphosis before she get into a match.

I'mma gunna wait for child wonder Kendo Girl to git gud and destroy their opponents.

Oh, and there's a beach scene. 8/10

She tired out that huge girl though. And haven't you ever been on a team where you felt like the useless one? Each character plays an important role.

The girl who inspires you and reminds you why you love the sport, and is always positive having fun.
The girl who is chasing a friend, and trying her best to not get left out by the group.

The girl who struggles with feeling like a fifth wheel, and probably gets the worst anxiety of anyone.
The girl who feels like time is running out, and wants to enjoy the last summer of her youth.

The girl with natural talent that makes her the star of her team, but can't deal with the pressure and enjoy herself.

The adult who has regrets about getting an injury in school, and plays it super safe as a result.

And the supporting characters were all great too! They make the supporting characters feel like the MC sometimes!

Sad yet understandable that the girls didn't win considering considering how strong their opponents were but still hats-off to their effort. As someone who does judo since the age of 6, it was fun seeing this anime and recognize a few relatable irl moments in it.

Man this was a really great watch seeing everyone get better nagumo deciding to join judo club to spend more time with her close friend hiura being cool and and showing off her skill but man that blondy was good but the thing is if captain was able to get through the first girl or any of the others before her cap might've actually had a chance of beating blondy then it would have actually or well almost be a win since hiura would be last to clear the last two and since having blondy down it'd have actually been a good chance of victory but ahhh..... Gg either way man really enjoyed this 9/10 🙏 hope for season 2
